Near Fine in a Good jacket, unclipped ($2.00), generally rubbed, chipped at the head of the spine, faded at the spine. Quarter red buckram with grey buckram on the boards. Square and firmly bound with a dark grey top stain, clean internally. The basis for the 1949 Carol Reed noir of the same name starring Orson Welles.
