A propos de cet article

First Edition USA (1956) , so stated. Very Good in a Very Good DJ: The Book shows minimal shelf-rubbing along the bottom edge of the boards; a touch of crimp to the heel of the backstrip; a couple of flecks of foxing and a small spot of soil at the top edge; a small white stain at the lower front panel; a single page creased at th lower corner tip; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. Free of ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, or labels. A handsome copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing mild wear and minor, unobtrusive imperfections. Bright and clean. Corners sharp. The DJ shows just a touch of wear to the corner tips; very mild rubbing to the panels; the price ($8.95) is intact but has been crossed out and a penciled price has been placed underneath it; the lower corner of the insided front flap has been clipped; mylar-protected. Remains attractive. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo (8.5 x 5.85 x 1.7 inches). Liberally illustrated with vintage duotone photographs. Preface by the Duke of Richmond and Gordon. Language: English. Weight: 27.4 ounces. First published in Great Britain in 1955. Black cloth over boards with silver titles at the back-strip. Hardback with DJ. This is the story of the rise of Mercedes-Benz beginning in the middle of the 19th century with the early years of two great motoring pioneers, Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler.
