Offered is the text of the "Tokyo Appeal," "Recommendations for International Common Action," and "General Resolution," all (as stated) "Accepted at the Final Plenary Session, August 9, 1960" by the Sixth World Conference Against A [Atomic] and H [Hydrogen] Bombs and for Total Disarmament held from August 2-9, 1960 in Tokyo, Japan. Published in mimeographed print form in that year by the First Unitarian Church of Los Angeles, the printed document measures 8-1/2" by 14" and contains four pages of text. Sponsored by the Japan Council against Atomic and Hydrogen Bombs - Gensuibaku Kinshi Nihon Kyōgikai (usually abbreviated as Gensuikyo), the Tokyo Appeal begins, "On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the atom bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Sixth World Conference Against A & H Bombs and for Total Disarmament was held with the participation of 10,000 delegates from cities and villages throughout Japan and all the continents of the world. The overseas delegates participated in the Conference in ardent support of the movement in Japan against A & H Bombs, and specifically the struggle in Japan against the revised Japan-United States Security Treaty, and in full recognition that these struggles are greatly contributing to the peace of the world."
