From an AI overview: "Tomorrow's Organizations: Challenges and Strategies, edited by Jong S. Jun and William B. Storm (published in 1974 by Scott, Foresman and Company), is an edited volume containing 42 articles that examine how shifting political, economic, social, and technological environments impact modern institutions. Core Challenges Identified in the Book. Rapid Environmental Change: Organizations face constant, turbulent shifts in their external environments that render traditional administrative frameworks obsolete. Outdated Management Philosophy: Traditional bureaucratic structures remain trapped in 20th-century rational behavior models, values, and rigid hierarchical assumptions. The Need for Structural Adaptability: Standardized, bureaucratic operations struggle to respond with the speed required to match modern societal transformations. Proposed Strategies. Administrative Reform: Organizations must redesign their internal processes, roles, and structural layouts to continuously mirror external changes. Modernized Behavioral Norms: Leadership and personnel need to break free from rigid, legacy decision-making patterns to adopt flexible, adaptive organizational behaviors. Continuous Systemic Evolution: The text argues that survival in a permanent 'age of change' requires treating transformation as an ongoing operational necessity rather than a one-time fix.". 1st ed? Description de la boutique

About Books [Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and out of print books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail order catalogue, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of more than 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialities listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you want to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please only between the hours of 8am and 10pm, west coast time. Our phone is a landline that cannot receive texts.
