Cloth. Etat : Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Fine. First Edition; First Printing. A nice first edition/first printing in Fine condition, seemingly unread, in alike dust-jacket. From the collection of Betty Anderson, legendary art director of publisher Knopf in the late 20th century as evidenced by her (small and unobtrusive) inventory number; The Vermont Suicides is a book about the suicides of five people in the small town of Bennington, Vermont. The townspeople are left to grapple with their grief and try to make sense of what could have driven these people to take their own lives. Weingarten tells the story from multiple perspectives, including the townspeople, the families of the suicides, and the doctors who were working on the cases. The book is a difficult read, but it is also an important one, as it sheds light on the struggles of small town communities in the face of tragedy.; 8vo. N° de réf. du vendeur 21623
