Large quarto. xxxiv, [2], 1009 pp., plates, illus. First edition. In later cloth; lacking one plate. Contents are lightly and evenly toned, otherwise, a very nice copy. It was issued with 75 plates, many of which are composed of multiple plates (ie. XIX, XIXa, XIXb, etc). All told, there should be 134 plates with additional explanatory leaf; this copy is missing plate LXXIIa (though the leaf of printed explanation is present). Priced accordingly.
