Octavo. 341, [1] pp., frontis, plates. First edition. In publisher's cloth with title in gilt on the spine; lacking the folding map at the rear. Binding is lightly rubbed at the extremities; some spotting to the front board, otherwise, a fairly attractive copy; handsomely written contemporary owner name on the verso of the front free endpaper and again on the facing blank, with the date 1893; modern owner rubbed stamp on the front free endpaper; plates throughout, one with a small closed tear to the fore-edge margin touching the image, but without loss; contents are evenly toned; clean, solid copy of an uncommon 19th century promotional book touting Virginia's qualities and issued by Virginia's Board of Agriculture.
