A very scarce first edition of this richly illustrated travel title A very scarce first edition of this richly illustrated travel title, whose author is survived today by British landowner, farmer and public official Sir Algernon Heber-Percy - a name which recurs throughout the generations.Featuring a monochrome frontispiece, 32 further monochrome plates of contemporary photography, and further vignette illustrations. Collated, complete. In original ivy cloth, with gilt detail to front board, and full gilt page edges. Bound in original green cloth. Externally, smart. Fading to spine. Slight offsetting to boards. Mild bumping to extremities. Small dark tide marks to front endpapers. Front free endpaper removed. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, with occasional spotting. Pencil tracing of the title page onto tissue guard. Very Good. N° de réf. du vendeur 1002W10
