First edition, first printing. Publisher's original white cloth with silver titles to the spine, in the Ryder Carroll illustrated dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, lightly rubbed to the bottom edge, with a very small bump to the tail of the spine. Light spotting to the top edge of the closed text block, with a small tear to the top edge of page 481 and very light creasing to the surrounding pages. The contents are clean throughout, and without previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the near fine, lightly rubbed and creased dustwrapper, which is bright and fresh, and without fading, loss, or tears. Not price-clipped ($45 to the upper front flap). A collection of 38 fantasy short stories by award-winning author Jonathan Carroll. The second story included in this volume, 'Uh-Oh City', won the 2000 French Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire in the 'Foreign-language Short Fiction' category, another story 'Friend's Best Man' won the World Fantasy Award in 1988.
