Near fine in a very good dust jacket. The red coarse cloth boards are clean with strong gilt lettering to the spine. The binding is square, tight and unbumped, with sharp corners. The contents are clean and bright with uncracked hinges. Other than a small bookseller's label to the front pastedown, and an inked out signature to the ffep, there are no ownership inscriptions, or other markings of any kind. The unclipped (28s.net) dust jacket is fully intact apart from some nibbling to the top of the spine. Otherwise the jacket is fully complete with only minor edgewear. It has been neatly and invisibly reinforced from behind with tape, and is now protected in a removable mylar cover. From the blurb: "'West with the Sun' is a most entertaining journal of a voyage round the world which Stuart Cloete and his wife made on a Norwegian freighter. Stopping at Manila, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaya, Singapore, Ethiopia and Egypt, the Cloetes travelled 23,000 miles keenly observing local customs, seeking out places of interest and meeting the people".
