A propos de cet article

Condition: Very Good. Hardcover. Dark green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering and decoration, and a large photographic panel mounted to the front board. Front photograph shows surface rubbing and scratches with small areas of edge wear; boards have light corner and extremity wear. Listing photos show the exact copy included in this sale. Regional portrait of Whatcom County, Washington, combining essays with extensive color photography of the area's shorelines, North Cascades and Mount Baker landscapes, forests, foothills, farmland, wildlife, and communities. The work explores the relationship between people and the land, including agriculture around Lynden, regional growth and development, environmental conservation, and land stewardship. Produced by the Whatcom Land Trust, it documents northwest Washington landscapes and conservation concerns in the 1990s and now also serves as a period record of the region. Contributors include prominent Pacific Northwest photographers Bob and Ira Spring, Lee Mann, Mark Turner, Mark Bergsma, and others, with an introduction on sense of place by Western author Ivan Doig.…

Description de la boutique

An independent online bookseller offering a varied, deliberately selected inventory of fiction, nonfiction, collectible editions, advance reading copies, reference works, and other books chosen for their quality, interest, or unusual subject matter. We keep our inventory selective rather than building a large catalog of commonplace titles. Each book is individually examined and conservatively graded, with attention given to edition, printing, notable attributes, and condition. Listings describe the actual copy offered for sale, and photographs are provided whenever useful for evaluating condition or collectible features. Orders are carefully packaged, shipped promptly, and include tracking. Our focus is accurate descriptions, careful handling, and dependable service.…
