Each of the The How and Why Wonder Book of series book has been written by an expert in his field, and the entire series has been edited unders the supervision of Dr. Paul Blackwood, Specialist in Elementary Science for the United States Department of Health, Education and Welfare. In addition, all of the text and art have been reviewed and approved for accuracy by Oakes A. White of the Brooklyn Children's Museum. Harold Joseph Highland (b1917?-?) was a distinguished teaching professor emeritus of the New York State University, who developed into a world reknown expert on computer security. Esther Harris Highland (1916-2006), his wife, published several books on Business mathematics as well as co-authored over 20 books with her husband. Over-sized paperback has complete full color cover and complete interior with glue and stapled binding. Book has not often been read or used and is in remarkably new condition. Creases across spine from storage have caused a tear in rear cover stabilized with tape. Copyright 1961.
