Page edges tanned. Slight spine roll and reading creases along the spine and the spine edge of the front cover. Binding stressed at pp. 82-83. Bottom corner front cover softly creased. Corners of the covers softened. Bottom corner back cover creased and chipped with associated wear to the bottom edge of the back cover. Short tears and associated creases in the fore-edge of pp 122-132. Shelf wear to the top and fore-edge of the back cover. Supplied in a fitted, polypropylene bag. The mass market paperback was created in 1939 by Pocket Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, and less than 100 years later distributors and publishers are discontinuing the format.
