This exciting book offers an overview of the ways in which cultural differences influence young children's behavior, communication, and learning styles. It is a practical guide for early childhood professionals working in such settings as group child care, preschools, and Head Start programs. The book considers the major developmental domains of language and communication, social skills, and school readiness and emergent literacy. In addition, it provides examples of curriculum and instructional adaptations that can be used to accommodate children from diverse backgrounds.
