A propos de cet article

illustrated frontispiece + Title page + conditions of sale + note page + page 31 to page 83 pages (looks complete without loss) + index rear . Grey printed paperback binding fair some dirt/ageing and edge/spine wear/loss. Contents Fair , basically good with numerous hammer prices, some with buyers name including Maggs in ink & pencil. Contains all of the first 2 days of this famous sale from lot 1 to lot 564. with sold prices from about 2/6 (2 old shillings & six pence) to about £250. and is by the same hand as my other copy on abe .Alexander Meyrick Broadley was a gay and therefore notorious, but brilliant barrister, who was outed in India, and escaped before being finally arrested and was unable to return to England, so for many years lived in Tunis. It is also known that Lord Curzon purchased a great part of his collection of his Napoleon collection which he donated to Oxford University ( and now resides in the Bodelian Library), and possibly the unsold items were withdrawn before the auction for Lord Curzon. Not the best copy, but rare to have some prices & buyers. Size: 16.5 x 24cm Approx.…
