1754 Microscope OPTICS Biology Chemistry Experiments Illustrated Baker Science Henry Baker was an 18th-century English naturalist known for his work with the microscope. Baker wrote two treatises on using the microscope; Employment for the Microscope and Microscope Made Easy . These works illustrate using a microscope, but they also include discoveries found whilst using one. Findings include salts found in urine, seeds of the vanilla bean, understanding the metals in vegetation, examining warts, the exposure and effects of sulfuric acid, observations of spider eyes and fangs, effects of light on oysters, formation of gems and their coloration, and in depth look into various salt crystals.
