Slim 8vo, pp84. Hardcover issued without dust jacket. Later rebind of half brown calf leather over brown cloth boards in good condition with chipping to top of spine and rubbing to sides of spine and tips. Inside one "Assay Office" library stamp to bottom of front free end paper and one stamp from the "London Institute" to title page. All other pages in remarkably good condition being clean and bright without any blemishes. In 1784, Dundonald produced a fifty-two page booklet on the "Manufacture and Trade of Salt on the Herring Fisheries and on the Coal Trade of Great Britain" and in 1785 produced both " Account of the qualities and uses of coal tar and coal varnish. With certificates from shipmasters and others" and "The Present State of the Manufacture of Salt explained." as research has shown no other earlier published editions, it is presumed this is a 1st Edition. Scarce.
