Minor marks, blemishes or reading wear commensurate with age else a nice solid copy. With the odd marginal paper repair. Occasional small wormtrails. Overall a good copy, presented in an attractive contemporary binding. This two-decade work on the book of Job by the nonconformist Joseph Caryl [1602-1673] stretched to twelve volumes. The project passed along multiple printers in the course of its completion. The last few volumes and later printings of some earlier ones, came from the press of Mary Simmons. Bound in full contemporary leather with double blind ruled border. Raised bands, blind lines and a later gilt-lettered label to the spine.
