A propos de cet article
This is a nearly complete collection of ?Fortean Times?, the magazine about everything strange, supernatural, and unknown. I?m scientifically minded and really like this magazine because, while it?s skeptical, its articles are objective, and they cite their sources, making them a very valuable resource, particularly for research. They keep an open mind that some of these things might be authentic, while taking a close look at these strange phenomena, only providing definite answers when they can. And, of course, the articles are extremely interesting.
There is a massive amount of material here on UFOs, extraterrestrials, ghosts, poltergeists, phantom ships, fairies, angels, psychics, ESP, vampires, werewolves, drugs, human sacrifices, exorcism, plant awareness, past lives, witches, and every other Fortean phenomena you can think of and many that you can't, such as levitating children and vanishing genitals. Much of this comes from mainstream media and scientific reports from around the world. They document it as well as they can and they don?t say it?s true, just that it?s deserving of further research.
Most of the issues from 1 (Nov. 1973) through 378 (Apr. 2019) are here. Just 32 issues are missing: 16, 37-57, 59-62, 66, 164, 204, 206, and 370. My subscription stopped in 2019, so I don?t have 379 and to the present. The earliest issues are in a book that is a facsimile reprint of issues 1 - 15, but I also have actual issues of 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, and 15. I seem to recall that Bob Rickard, the magazine's founder, told me I have issues that even he doesn't have.
There are also 9 duplicates: 68, 74, 87, and for 88 and 89 there?s a British and American edition, which are slightly different. For 136 there are five copies, one of which is slightly wrinkled and faded. I have extra copies because I wrote the cover story on the mummy case that supposedly sank the "Titanic".
In the pictures you can see that roughly thirty are curved from the way they were packed, but put something heavy on them and they should flatten. Also 58 had part of its cover cut off and 367 has damage to the front cover. The rest are in very good to near fine condition?just slight wear here and there.
There are also two books: "The World's Most Incredible Stories" (1992) and "The Fortean Times Book of UnConventional Wisdom" (1999). Both are near fine. "Strange Magazine" (Summer 1996), British magazine "Paranormal" (no. 18, I don?t see a date), and "High Times" (Mar. 2002), which has an article "Occult Nazis from Outer Space". "Strange" has chipping along the spine and is very good, 'Paranormal" is near fine, and "High Times" is good.
FREE SHIPPING: I am offering free shipping within the United States by media mail. I don't think I can ship this order by Priority mail, but if you need it quicker, I'll see what I can do and will give you $100 off the actual cost. If you're outside the U.S., I'll be glad to give you several options if you email me your address. These magazines fill three boxes that collectively weigh 134 pounds. I've plastic wrapped the magazines in groups of ten to prevent scuffing and moisture damage in shipping, so they should be in excellent shape when you get them.
It looks like ?Fortean Times? issues sell for $10 to $25 each, although I see some issues for $70 and I don?t see most of the older issues. Still, the more conservative lower amounts would put this collection from $3,560 to $8,900, but if you price them properly, you can probably sell them for much more and still undersell everyone else. I don?t have time to sell them individually so I?m selling them all at together at a very low price--just $2.81 each, including all the rare ones.
If you?re interested in the supernatural, UFOs, vampires, occult, cryptids, strange phenomena, and bizarre occurrences, then you?ll be fascinated by this amazing and reliable trove of information. You?ll probably never see another opportunity like this.
