A propos de cet article

This is an original issue of the publication "The Massachusetts Magazine - or, Monthly Museum of Knowledge and Rational Entertainment" from January, 1792. Volume IV, Number I. Published by Isaiah Thomas and Ebenezer T. Andrews in Boston. This issue contains "Extracts from Dr. Franklin's Will" that spans two pages. The magazine measures 9 1/4" tall x 5 1/2" wide. Other interesting content includes "Thoughts on Duelling," "Character of an American Officer," "Remedy for the Scurvy," "Extraordinary Particular in the History of the Ostrich," "The Child Trained up for the Gallows," "Description of the Dismal Swamp in Virginia," "Wise Sayings of the East," "Of the Aurora Borealis," "Ancient Records of Massachusetts," "Fourteen Causes which Enrich a Country," "The Death of Mahomet".and much more. Aside from the articles, the issue also includes poetry, music, national and international news, etc. Condition: The magazine has been extracted from a larger volume. The title page has pulled from the spine 1.5" down from the top edge, and halfway up from the bottom edge. Small tears along the outer page edges. The last page has a 1" vertical tear at the top edge. A 2" x 1" piece has torn away at the top edge of page 57, affecting the text. Consistent foxing to the pages throughout. Overall in Good- condition.…
