The Strand Magazine August 1901. A single monthly softcover issue. Published by George Newnes. Volume 22, issue number 128. Includes the first appearance of The Hound Of The Baskervilles. A Sherlock Holmes story, written by Arthur Conan Doyle and illustrated by Sidney Paget. First serialised in The Strand before the book version which was released in 1902. This is the first time it appeared in print. Part 1 of the story, which ran from August 1901 to April 1902. A very rare issue of one of the most famous thriller novels ever written. In very good condition and all complete, with front and rear covers, spine and adverts to front and rear. Spine has some loss to bottom end and covers have some small marks.
