Text is in Spanish. Original black-and-white photo postcard. No date, circa 1950s. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2." Title printed at the top of the image. Imprint of FEMA (?) in upper-left corner of image. Tarjeta Postal" printed on back. A beige, 25-cts stamp showing an illustration of two Michoacan folk art masks with "Michoacan Arte Popular" is tipped in on the back. Stamp slightly torn in lower-left corner. Postmark on stamp. Postcard is used. Postcard is clean and intact overall except for a small surface tear at the top edge and paper residue along the bottom edge. A Good copy. This postcard shows an equestrian monument commemorating Simon Bolivar (1783-1830), a Venezuelan political and military leader who helped the present-day countries of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela gain independence from the Spanish Empire. This statue is located in Mexico, possibly Mexico City (Ciudad de Mexico, or CDMX). A building is shown in the background. There is English handwriting on the back in pink pen. The Goods write to the Dunlaps in DuBois, Pennsylvania, "Hello Dunlaps, Enjoying convention very much. Didn't like my plane ride. Too rough. Rode into a hurricane. Saw a bull fight yesterday. Going to Mexican Symphony tonite. The Goods.".…
