Hardcover. Etat : Fine. First Edition. A deluxe edition of this comprehensive survey of the one-time Disney animators fine-art prints, each reproduced in full color, with a text by Earle on the facing page. A complete list of the prints, along with sizes and edition numbers, are listed in an appendix at the back. This is one of 60 numbered "hors commerce" (HC) copies, signed by Earle. Earle designed the Academy Award-winning short animated film Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Book. His work on the backgrounds of Sleeping Beauty gave that film its mythic, timeless look, a style that carried through to many of his screenprints. 10-1/2 by 13 inches. 365 pages. In addition to the HC copies, there were 400 numbered copies, and an unsigned trade edition. First edition (first printing). A fine copy but for a few nicks to the gilt edges, bound in padded black leatherette covers, with a matching fine slipcase. No jacket, as issued. This is HC copy 18/60 signed by the artist.
