When Jesus was asked to name the greatest commandment, He answered with what is now called the Golden Rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Luke 6:31 NIV). In this eye-opening new book, author Dave Greber asserts that if Jesus were asked this question again, He would answer with the words He spoke at the Last Supper: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another" (John 13:34 NIV). Often overlooked or misunderstood, this "lost commandment" tells us how Jesus wants us to live.

Using stories, Scripture, and practical applications, Greber unpacks the meaning of the lost commandment by looking at seven characteristics of biblical living that Jesus Himself embodied and that Christians should follow to find the joy that comes with following God's desire for us.

"Greber presents a strong case for Christ's intent of the 'new' commandment replacing the 'Golden Rule.'"--Christian Retailing, July 2009

"There is much excellent teaching about Christian discipleship here, the kind that's life-changing and that organically extends into other areas of obedience and service, such as evangelism."--CBA Retailers & Resources, July 2009
