A propos de cet article

pp. 248-252. From the library of Prof. Wolfgang Haase, long-time editor of ANRW and the International Journal of the Classical Tradition (IJCT). - With dedication of the author. - Author's name handwritten on cover, otherwise a very good and clean copy. - From the text: [.] So Murray's Oxford text, adopting Hermann's emended accentuation of L's [.], taking the word as a vocative of [.] and punctuating accordingly. Under conditions of oral performance, and so without the benefit of punctuation marks or the leisure which we enjoy to peruse the lines as something static on a printed page, would the audience really have been likely to hear the metrically uttered clause.
