First published in the 1820s, this is the third part only of a three part 1840 edition of this children's spelling book.With a vignette illustration to the title page.This third part 'contains a series of reading lessons, beginning with words of one syllables, and gradually advancing to a few useful and improving extracts'.With list of commonly misspelled words to the start of the work.With a contemporary child's inscription to the front pastedown.Very scarce in all editions. In the original cloth wraps. Wraps age toned, with handling marks to perimeters. Contemporary inscriptions to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound.
