Synopsis
The importance of business re-engineering (finding imaginative new ways to accomplish work) is now widely accepted. However, the reinvention of work by itself is far from sufficient. When companies transform the way their workers work, they must also radically alter the way their managers manage. If they don't, they are merely building a new structure on the same cracked foundation. This book, the sequel to "Reengineering the Corporation", shows through examples why re-engineered work requires something other than the traditional ways of managing. It illustrates the principles and characteristics of a new management model, which demands new management processes. It also explains, using real-life examples, how managers manage the changes that re-engineering imposes on their organizations.

À propos de l?auteur
James Champy, co-author of ‘Reengineering the Corporation’, is a founder of the CSC Index and chairman of CSC’s Consulting Group. He is the leading authority on the implementation of business reengineering initiatives. CSC Index, based in Cambridge. Massachusetts, is the management consulting firm that pioneered the development and practice of reengineering. The firm’s European headquarters are in London.
