Gianni Francione is an architect from Turin, North Italy, who has been based in Southeast Asia-mainly in Bali-for over 20 years. His recent books include Tropical Asian Style, Bali Houses and Bali Modern.

Masano Kawana is a renowned interiors, food and lifestyle photographer with a distinctly modernist touch. Previous publications include Asian Bar and Restaurant Design, Green Mangoes and Lemon Grass and Shunju.
