After living through the events depicted in his self-transformational memoir, Suffering Ends when Awakening Begins, Robert succeeded in breaking the cycle of dysfunction handed down from earlier generations in his family and the limitations to success tied up in that. Robert Crown was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Despite a challenging youth when he was faced with his own near-death and the death of a loved one, he overcame his trials and learned the importance of helping his family, friends, and those around him. As an adult, he has volunteered to in community service organizations and has worked with youth and seniors. He has also served on the board of directors of his local chamber of commerce. His curiosity and love of travel have taken him to Japan six times. He is married to his beautiful wife, and together they have four wonderful children whom he teaches to think for themselves and to use their thoughts to create the lives they want. He still lives in the Chicago area, where he has owned and operated a residential real estate brokerage for fifteen years.
