At a Meeting of the Xew York Historical Societ.v, held at the Hall of the Union, Cooper I nstitute, on Wednesday Evening. October 12th, 1864, to commemorate the Two Hundredth Anniversary of the Conquest of Sew Netherland, GULIAN C. Veeplaxck, LL.D., submitted tlie following Resolution, wliich was seconded by George Ba Xckopt, LL.D., and adopted unanimously: Resolved, That the thanks of this Society are eminently due and are hereby tendered to John Romeyx Brodiiead, LL.D., for his eloquent Oration, delivered this evening, in commemoration of the Conquest of New Netherland, and that a copy be requested for the Archives of the Society, and for publication.
