Lori K. Long, Ph.D., SPHR, is the president of LK Consulting, LLC, a human resource management consulting firm specializing in start-up and small businesses. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Kent State University and has more than 15 years of experience in human resource management, career counseling, and business consulting. Lori is the former associate director of the Career Management Center at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, a past president of the Cleveland Society for Human Resource Management, and is certified as a senior professional in human resources. Lori's research interests include effective work/life management strategies, the policy implications of federal employment laws and regulations, and the use of technology in human resource management. She has published several articles and presented numerous seminars on these and other human resource management topics. In addition to her work with LK Consulting, Lori is an adjunct faculty member at Baldwin-Wallace College. She lives with her husband David and their two children in Cleveland, Ohio.
