Unlock the pieces of marathon training and make your next race a personal best with this practical guide written by professional pace team leader Dave Masterson.
Anyone who has already run a marathon knows―it's a big deal! Some people look to challenge the marathon distance as a mental accomplishment. For others, the physical preparation and training is what draws them in. The reasons are many, but the indisputable facts are the same. To finish this distance, one must dedicate time and energy over weeks and months to prepare for that one day. The marathon does not discriminate; it is difficult for all comers.
In Marathon 101, Dave Masterson shares with readers the tips, strategies, and training methods that he has cultivated over the years serving as professional marathon pacer so that you can safely and confidently achieve your personal best. Inside you’ll find:
A breakdown of popular training plans and if they’re the right fit for you
Tips on running gear for all types of weather
Advice on mental readiness
Nutrition strategies for fueling before, during, and after a marathon
And so much more!
Remember, progress doesn't sprout from daydreams or social media likes. It thrives on action. So open this book, absorb its lessons, and get moving. Every page turned, every tip applied is a step toward your greatest run ever.
