À propos de l?auteur

Nola Rocco’s novel—EXCUSE ME...I’M NOT DEAD YET!—is perfectly timed. Having written and produced screenplays over the past thirty years, this particular story with frank gender portrayals and realistic characterizations of the 50+ single female is written in her usual engaging, humorous style. While studying writing at UCLA, Nola designed an upscale Beverly Hills Boutique Hotel—the famous HIDDEN GARDEN, a hideaway for the rich and famous—a beautiful place to “disappear” after a cosmetic surgery procedure. She found her guests to be a valuable resource to understanding the transgender issues as well as how cosmetic procedures change one’s self esteem. Their unbelievable stories gave Nola a look into their private lives. These lives became the background for the Suzanne Robins and the Paige Miller characters. All the events that Suzanne and Paige experience have come from interviews with these men and women; true experiences written in a fictional genre. Nola Rocco writes in a contemporary, breezy, amusing style, with vivacious dialogue. The words inside are fresh, sassy and full of vitality, written for the 50+ audience. Her style is highly amusing and surprisingly clever showing a strong sense of how mature women think. Nola Rocco’s career as an award-winning writer has been recognized at the Austin Film Festival, The Houston International Film Festival, Hollywood’s TOP TEN writing contest and was a finalist at the Nicholl’s Fellowship. Nola also wrote and directed the film, WHERE’S MARTY? starring cameo roles come from Betty White, George Lopez, Ken Howard and Tony Curtis.
