Synopsis

Solid state fermentation technology (SSF) has become quite a popular choice in bioprocess systems as compared to the conventional submerged fermentation in a wide range of commercial processes and technologies. Another interesting topic covered is use of cow dung, an inexpensive readily available substrate, to produce fibrolytic enzymes and alkaline proteases using SSF.
