“Smart and unsettling – a gripping story about people’s masks and motivations.”
A psychological thriller with a window into the fascinating world of self-help retreats. The Process combines suspense with emotional depth, offering a rare fusion of therapy, mystery, and personal transformation. Both a page-turning narrative and a reflective journey, it reimagines the thriller as a vehicle for inner change.
On a remote stretch of the North Devon coast, five strangers gather at an exclusive therapy retreat, each burdened by private struggles—alienation, grief, fractured relationships, and the search for meaning. Under the guidance of the enigmatic therapist Louise, they are drawn into a series of intense psychological exercises designed to confront their deepest fears.
Yet behind the retreat lies the shadow of its creator, Jacob, a man whose past is marked by secrecy and unresolved trauma. As his hidden history begins to surface and collide with the present, the boundaries between healing and danger blur—forcing each participant to confront not only themselves, but the unsettling truth behind The Process.
