Biographie de l'auteur
Margaret Read MacDonald travels the world telling tales and teaching others how to recount stories. She has shared A Hen, A Chick and A String Guitar in Japanese, Chinese, Malay, Indonesian and Thai. The story changes a little with each culture, but is always fun to sing, dance and act out. Margaret has written over thirty books about folklore and storytelling, but this is her first project for Barefoot Books. When not travelling, she settles into the deliciously rainy weather on Guemes Island (Washington State) and writes more books. Sophie Fatus is a full-time illustrator and sculptress whose bright and distinctive illustrations have brought her numerous commissions and international critical acclaim. 'I take much inspiration from animals that I love, and I want to give homage to their very strong dignity through my work. I'd like my work to be a peaceful message of solidarity and support, that could help children remember to love and respect each other.' Sophie was born and educated in France and now lives in Florence, Italy. Bob King is a songwriter, singer, poet, storyteller and educator. Bob has been performing, teaching and writing for children and adults for over thirty years now and his songs have sold in the millions. He is best known for the song Sandwiches are Beautiful and Brother For Sale as recorded by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.
