Sustainable development is the need of the hour. Corporate social responsibility is no longer philanthropy. At several occasions, CSR is considered same as the environment protection measures. However, the scope of CSR is much broader. The present study throws light on the role of the service organizations in paving the way for sustainable development by following corporate social responsibility and environment management practices.The study area is at the peak of economic growth and there are enormous opportunities in the areas of tourism, education,medical,etc. Therefore it is imperative to explore the CSR and environment management practices to assess the role of service organizations towards sustainable development.

She has authored several books and contributed research papers in repute journals. Her areas of research interest are sustainable development,ecology and corporate social responsibility.
