Taschenbuch. Etat : Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Our research focuses on gaining a deeper understanding of the chronogenesis of the Italian language and, within that, of the expression of the future tense, based on Guillaumian theoretical and methodological principles. Our comparative study combines diachronic and synchronic approaches. We examine the evolution of the expression of the future tense from Old Italian to contemporary written Italian using the original text of G. Boccaccio's Decameron, its translation into contemporary Italian by A. Busi, and its translation into French by J. Bourciez. We compare the expression of the future tense in three graphic novels written in Italian and French. We observe, on the one hand, the differences between contemporary standard French and Italian, and on the other hand, the variations in standard Italian influenced by regional substrates. Using a third corpus, we study the expression of the future tense in Neapolitan by comparing Neapolitan song lyrics from the 19th to the 21st centuries with their translations into standard Italian and French.
