This is a treasury of photographs of people from around the world and all different walks of life. This heart-warming addition to White Star's renowned "CubeBook" series celebrates the differences-and the sometimes surprising similarities-between different world cultures. More than 500 slice-of-life photographs depict family, home life, celebrations, religion, food, travel, and the arts around the world. Babies, children, adults, and the elderly engaged in everyday activities are conveyed with affection and great attention to detail, the result being a unique collection of portraits that pay tribute to humanity. In a chapter on the family and children, readers witness tender moments between parents and their children that, regardless of the distinctive settings which are as far-flung as Africa, Asia, and Europe, and the differing physical traits of each family, mirror each other very closely. From rustic dwellings in rural India to apartments outfitted with every convenience in American cities, we are then taken into homes around the globe, giving us a fascinating glimpse into the vastly differing lifestyles of people from around the world. Chapters on work, spirituality and rituals, food, and theatre give us further insight into the lives of others, with vibrant photographs conveying the traditions and daily activities that set us each apart-and connect us, as well. Mailing to lifestyle magazines and specialist media featuring the full range of "CubeBooks" and formats
