Synopsis
Sarkis'in Arter'de 15 Kasım 201312 Ocak 2014 tarihleri arasında yer alan "Cage / Ryoanji Yorumu" sergisine eşlik eden yayın üç bölümden oluşuyor. Birinci bölümde tamamı bu kitap için sipariş edilmiş yeni yazılara ve Sarkis'in bu yazılarda gönderme yapılan yapıtlarının fotoğraflarına yer veriliyor. Bu kısım serginin küratörlüğünü üstlenen Melih Fereli'nin Sarkis'in yapıtlarının zengin müzikal ve entelektüel göndermelerini de açan kapsamlı çerçeve yazısıyla açılıyor. Fereli'nin yazısına sanat tarihçisi Gabriele Knapstein'ın "Uçucu İmgeler Kaçıcı Sesler: Sarkis'in Eserlerinde Müzik"; editör ve çevirmen Mine Haydaroğlu'nun "Ses ve Görüntüyle Taşınanlar: Sanatta Rastlantısallık ve Sarkis"; ve felsefeci Elie During'in "Sessizlik Blokları Zaman Dilimleri: Sarkis'in Ryoanji'si" başlıklı metinleri eşlik ediyor.
Yayının ikinci bölümü sergide yer alan "Partition de flûte Ryoanji / Cage selon Sarkis" başlıklı yapıtı oluşturan 96 suluboya paftanın röprodüksiyonlarını biraraya getiriyor. Bir müzik CD'sinden oluşan üçüncü bölüm ise bu yapıtın Kudsi Erguner (ney) ve Jean-François Lagrost (şakuhaçi) tarafından gerçekleştirilen doğaçlama müzikal yorumunun kaydını sunuyor.
