This book was written to help you crawl out from under their thumb (and maybe numerous thumbs), and learn how to take care of yourself. Learn how to adapt so others can no longer manipulate you. Our society is increasingly becoming more narcissistic. You need to have the skill set of knowing how to identify and manage people in your life who want to put you down so they feel superior. You need to learn how to manage people who have triangulated you to do their dirty work or steal credit for your work. You must know how to disengage with people who will twist your own words to use them against you.
