Original typescript. Quarto. Title page, dedication leaf and six leaves. All with typed content on rectos only. Includes six pasted in ostrich illustrations (almost surely from magazines). Stiff wrappers with manuscript lettering on front and fake reviews in marker on rear. Some light soiling from age but in very good condition.An unabashed poke at Werner Erhart and his EST Movement while parodying the then famous EST novel "Jonathan Livingston Seagull." In this tale Christopher was an ostrich who really wanted to fly. Ostracized by the other ostriches, he soon finds himself at Werner Ostrich's headquarters (OST) and he is told; "It is here that ostriches come when they begin to sense that there is more to life than meets the eye. You should consider yourself lucky Christopher Livingston Ostrich. Most have to go through much before they are deemed worthy of our superior course. We will teach you how to commune with your inner self. You begin by plucking out all your feathers." The reviews on the rear are from such renown publications as the Old York Times, Sinking Stone and Death Magazine. A rather gentle contemporary poke at Werner Erhard (nee John Paul Rosenberg) who was a divisive but important influencer in the late 20th century.
