Octavo (220 x 150 mm), contemporary half cloth, IV, 554 pp., binding lightly rubbed, titlepage slightly darkened/browned (not very heavy actually), front board a little warped towards lower end of spine (most likely through moisture, but no staining in the book block itself, only front endpapers somehwat discoloured through same impact as it appears). The numbering on the spine - as usual with this series - does not refer to the volume number in the series, as it had no fixed numbers, however 50 vols. were published through the course of the century and depending on how a potential owner would organize his library (according to date of publication or according to authors or works included) the volume numbering would be different, minor shelf wear but all together a well preserved copy.
