Set of 6 volumes with a few introductory pages in each + 1914 pages plus 227 pages of appendices, dark blue cloth binding with gilt lettering/bands, wear and tear to hinges and extremities and also some wider damage to the front board of the first volume. Study Bible created by Ethelbert William Bullinger (1837-1913), Anglican clergyman, clerical secretary of the Trinitarian Bible Society, and ultra-dispensationalist theologian. Undated but the OT volumes mention Henry Frowde and Horace Hart in connection with Oxford University's printing and publishing, while the NT ones mention Humphrey Milford, meaning that the OT volumes cannot have been printed later than 1913 and the NT volumes cannot have been issued earlier than 1913. It seems very possible that these are the first issue of the different parts of the Companion Bible, which library catalogues date to (approx.) 1909-1921. It has been suggested that Bullinger (died 1913) prepared the Old Testament and the Gospels. N° de réf. du vendeur 460378
