This 319-year old copy has been beautifully preserved in a fine marigold half-leather binding with blue marbled boards. Very mild rubbing to the leather sections. The pages show typical signs of their age, with particularly dusty and darkened pastedowns and endpapers and a ripple and dust darkening to the outer page edges. Annotations on the endpapers, one interestingly being a crossed-out ex-libris note from the Christ College, Cambridge, and a few notable ones to the title page that semi-obscures the 'Part I' text. The core internal contents of the book are otherwise in stellar condition and are pleasantly bright beneath the usual signs of handling and occasional marks. The binding is very firm.
