HARRY 20 ON THE HIGH ROCK

In the year 2060, a hundred miles above the Earth orbits the High Rock - a maximum security prison crammed with 10,000 of the most vicious criminals from the world below. Falsely accused of betraying his government, Harry Thompson is given a twenty year sentence on the Rock, but amongst thuggish guards controlled by Warden Worldwise and psychotic inmates like Big Red One, the chances of staying alive for that long are looking pretty slim!

À propos des auteurs: One of the most prolific writers in the comic’s history, Gerry Finley-Day holds a special place in many 2000 AD fans’ hearts as the creator of classics like Rogue Trooper, Fiends of the Eastern Front and The V.C.s, as well as Harry 20 on the High Rock and Ant Wars. A keen “ideas man”, Finley-Day’s concepts of the horrors future warfare had in store were key to both Rogue and The V.C.s’ continuing popularity, ensuring that their recent return to the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic was well-received. Finley-Day also scripted episodes of Judge Dredd and Dan Dare, and co-scripted much of Invasion! (and entirely scripted the prequel story, ‘Disaster 1990!’).

Alan Davis is one of the most respected pencillers currently working in the comics industry. Debuting in 2000 AD with the space-based prison drama Harry 20 on the High Rock, he followed with the immortal D.R. and Quinch, which remains one of the Galaxy’s Greatest’s most popular series. Davis also contributed to short stories and Judge Dredd, before heading for America and almost instant acclaim. His US career has included Avengers, Batman and the Outsiders, Captain Britain, ClanDestine, Detective Comics, Excalibur, JLA, Killraven, Miracleman, Star Wars and X-Men. He has recently taken up the reins on Uncanny X-Men.
