Red and black labels are stamped in gilt lettering and lined in gilt along each hub. On a shelf, this set spans 2.5 inches. Appendix follows at the end. iv, 384 pp. CONDITION: Overall VG. External cover shows general wear. Inner hinges of Volume I are starting, yet all four boards are attached, and bindings are sound. Leaves have evenly toned and are foxed throughout. Some dampstaining at the corners, but does not impede on the text. Predominantly unmarked, except for an occasional mark in pencil, and previous owner's name written in both period ink and in pencil on the title pages, and within endpapers.
