All of the pages are intact and the cover is intact and the spine may show signs of wear. The book may have minor markings which are not specifically mentioned. A good condition pair of two early dated books. Second edition in two volumes. An ex-reference library copy with the usual amount of stamps. No dust jacket. Heavy sunfading to the spine. Notable and sustained scuffing to the covers of both volumes and a few knocks and marks and little sections of fraying. The book corners are curled. The boards seem to have taken the brunt of the damage and by contrast the contents of both volumes are in very nice condition for the age of the set. Dust to the textblock edges. The bindings are largely fine, although the A to G volume has cracking to the hinges beside each board and more signs of creasing to the pages close to the guttering. Light foxing to the textblock ends but this eases towards the volume centres. Occasional dust mostly on the top book margins. A few general signs of handling throughout such as small marks and little margin tears but the bulk of the contents are stellar. The print is crisp and unfaded.
