Kammer des Landtags gewählt, wo er die entschädigungslose Abschaffung des Feudalsystems befürwortete. Ein Veröffentlichungsverbot ließ ihn 1835 erst in die USA, im Folgejahr dann in die Schweiz emigrieren.
