Filet doré sur les plats. Intérieur très propre. 500 planches (dont 300 en couleurs, or et argent et 200 en camaïeu) formant les 5 derniers volumes et des 12 tableaux… de patrons à pleine page au tome I. Erreur de tomaison pour les 5 tomes de planches (numéroté II à VI), mais ensemble bien complet. Très rares et légères rousseurs dans cert. vol. de texte. Petits transferts de couleurs avec petits manques parfois sur certaines planches. Légers accros sur le second plat du tome I et sur le mors du tome IV planches Bel exemplaire. Le Costume historique (1876-1888) d'Auguste Racinet représente l'étude la plus approfondie jamais publiée sur l'histoire du costume, la mode et le style depuis le Monde antique jusqu'au 19e siècle. Par son ampleur et la somme de connaissances rassemblées, cet ouvrage reste à ce jour une expérience unique en son genre.
